Exit Benefits

As a result of the legislative changes, contributors who resign or are terminated from employment after 1 st January 2003 will no longer have immediate access to their entitlements.

Members can be eligible for a total withdrawal of their entitlements in the following cases only:

•  You must be over 55 years of age and have ceased employment or

•  You must have completed 25 years of service

•  If you are a member of the Police Force, Correctional Service, Fire Service, and where you have attained the age of 50 or completed 20 years of service, you may withdraw your benefits upon termination of employment;

•  Attaining eligibility age having previously retired from employment, or otherwise.

•  If you have, for reasons of resignation or termination of employment, been unemployed for a period of 12 continuous months.

•  If a member is permanently or totally incapacitated due to physical or mental illness and provides proof with medical certification

•  If you are permanently migrating from Papua New Guinea and evidence of which is provided to the satisfaction of Nambawan Super.

•  After 12 months has lapsed since the member has departed from Papua New Guinea .
