EMPLOYERS! Did you know?...
Casual Employee's Superannuation Contribution
Are you currently employed as a casual or ancillary staff for more than 3 months?
By Law, you should be contributing to Superannuation to benefit you in your time of retirement if you have been on your employers payroll for more than three months.
The current Superannuation legislation applies to all employers that employ more than 15 employees and it is compulsory that all employees contribute to a superannuation fund after three months of continuous employment. This includes casuals, ancillary, permanent, attached or unattached employees. In otherwords, the category of employment is irrelevant and the 3 months of continuous employment is the only criteria.
