|Paul Sayer, Chief Executive Officer
Paul Sayer was appointed Chief Executive Officer in July 2017 and is responsible for leading the K6 Billion Fund. A proven leader with over 25 years’ experience in Superannuation and Insurance, Paul has a wealth of experience from a range of senior positions in the industry, including CEO of TWUSUPER and Chief Operating Officer of REST Industry Super. Paul holds a Bachelor of Business and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a graduate Diploma of Organisational Leadership from the University of Melbourne. Paul is a certified Practicing Accountant and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Insurance and Finance.
|Verenagi Arava, Chief Financial Officer
Verenagi Arava was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in June 2016. Vere holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from the Central Queensland University. Vere has solid and diverse private sector experience covering Industrial and Manufacturing, Shipping & Stevedoring, Property, Hotels Transport, Human Resource & IT. His experience covers all facets of finance and accounting, taxation, project development, funds management and investment.
|Dominic Beange, Chief Investment Officer
Dominic Beange was appointed to the role of Chief Investment Officer in February 2019. Dominic holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has a wealth of technical experience having held senior positions in PNG. In addition to his work in PNG, Mr Beange held a range of positions in the Middle East He has more than 30-years of experience in all areas of Investment in Financial Institutions.
|Andrew Martin Esler, General Manager Properties
Andrew Martin Esler was appointed to the role in December 2013. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Charles Sturt University, Wagga, New South Wales. Prior to his appointment as General Manager- Property, Andrew held positions such as General Manager Member Service and Acting Managing Director for Nambawan Super. Andrew has over 20years of work experience in Property Management, Corporate Service Management, and Business Development Management.
|Leo Kamara, General Manager Risk
Leo Dale Kamara was internally promoted to Chief Manager- Risk & Compliance in September 2016. Before his promotion, he joined NSL as Manager – Projects in April 2016. Prior to joining NSL, Leo had worked for 25 years with ANZ Bank and held various management positions as Project Risk Manager (Melbourne, Australia), Head of Governance (ANZ North West Pacific) (PNG) and Head of Operations Assurance – American Territories. All these roles pertaining to his vast knowledge and experience in the area of Risk Management.
|Loka Pepena Niumatairua, General Manager People & Culture
Loka Pepena Niumatairua was appointed to the position of Chief Manager- People & Culture in the year 2014. Loka’s experience spans over 25years of Human Resource expertise, 21 years of which she held managerial positions in various companies. Before joining NSL in 2014, she was General Manager HR for Hardware Haus under CPL banner and prior to that she was HR and Admin Manager for Nambawan Super Limited. Loka holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Papua New Guinea.
|Patricia Taureka, Company Secretary
Patricia Taureka has undertaken the Company Secretary role since 2005. Patricia holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Papua New Guinea with over 31 years of Legal experience. After the restructure in 2013, Company Secretariat was formed as a separate division and Patricia was assigned to the role of Company Secretary. Prior to this, she was Manager Legal & Compliance and Company Secretary for NSL. Patricia also serves Directorship roles for various assets of NSL and is also a professional member of PNG Law Society, PNG Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees, and Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia.
