Nambawan Super has announced the opening of a new Mt Hagen office on Monday 1 June 2020.

The Office is located at in the Gapina Development Building, right in the heart of Mt Hagen City.

Chief Executive Officer Paul Sayer said: Mt Hagen is the centre of all the Highlands provinces and the new office provides a modern, spacious service centre that will better accommodate staff and members’ needs.

“Mt Hagen is one of our busiest branches with many Nambawan Super members who frequent the highlands visiting the branch.”

“Over the past 5 years, Nambawan Super has upgraded its main regional service centres in Port Moresby, Lae, and Kokopo, ”

“We are pleased Mt Hagen’s Regional Service Centre is now at the high standard as our other major branches across PNG,” Mr Sayer said.

The new and improved offices have been designed to improve the customer service experience and provide a more consistent member experience across Nambawan Super branches.

Changes to the new office include:

  • Spacious, modern seating areas, so that members will be more comfortable while waiting for service
  • A private consultation room, so that staff can have meetings with members and employers about their superannuation needs
  • Improved office space, with open plan seating and desks for staff, a boost for our staff who work in one of our busiest branches.

Mr Sayer said in addition to improving our office set up the Fund is also looking at ways to improve services for our members.

One of the most recent improvements includes accepting electronic applications for Continuous Unemployment Benefit Payment, RSA withdrawals except for minors and Normal State Share Claims which can now be lodged electronically.

“Because of Covid-19, the fund wanted to look at ways to help members to lodge their application without having to physically come into the office,” Mr Sayer said.

“This arrangement saves time for our members and makes the process much more convenient for them.”

Mr Sayer reminded members that apart from lodging applications they can also utlise other online services such as the internet portal and smartphone App that allows members to access their statements and account details anytime, anywhere and on any Android and Apple devices.
