Chief Executive Officer

Paul Sayer was appointed Chief Executive Officer in July 2017 and is responsible for leading the K6 Billion Fund. A proven leader with over 25 years’ experience in Superannuation and Insurance, Paul has a wealth of experience from a range of senior positions in the industry, including CEO of TWUSUPER and Chief Operating Officer of REST Industry Super. Paul holds a Bachelor of Business and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a graduate Diploma of Organisational Leadership from the University of Melbourne. Paul is a certified Practicing Accountant and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Insurance and Finance.
Verenagi Arava

Verenagi Arava

Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Verenagi Arava was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in June 2020. Prior to his appointment, Vere was NSL’s Chief Financial Officer, a position he held for 4 years.  He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from the Central Queensland University. Vere has solid and diverse private sector experience covering Industrial and Manufacturing, Shipping & Stevedoring, Property, Hotels Transport, Human Resource & IT. His experience covers all facets of finance and accounting, taxation, project development, funds management and investment.

David Kitchnoge

Chief Investment Officer

David Kitchnoge was appointed to the role of Chief Investment Officer in February 2021. Before his appointment, David was NSL’s Deputy Chief Investment Officer. He is a seasoned investment professional who established his career with more than 10 years at big 4 firm, Deloitte. Prior to joining NSL he was head of the Head of Research & Advisory with Kina Funds Management, the Licensed Investment Managers for Nambawan Super. David has a Bachelor of Accounting from Divine Word University and is also a Certified Practicing Accountant.

Pochon Sauriroa Lili

Pochon Sauriroa Lili

Chief Financial Officer

Pochon was appointed Chief Financial Officer in November 2020. Pochon holds a Bachelor in  Business and Management from the University of Papua New Guinea and is a Member of the Certified Practicing Accountants, PNG. He has 10 years experience in all areas of accounting having worked with two of the big four professional services firms PWC and Deloitte. Before joining NSL, Mr Lili was the Head of Finance for BSP Finance Group, a subsidiary of Bank South Pacific. During his time at BSP Finance Group Mr Lili also acted as General Manager on several occasions.

Morgana Prior

General Manager Brand, Marketing and Communication

Morgana Prior was appointed General Manager Brand, Marketing and Communication in September 2018. Morgana holds a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology. Morgana is a passionate and motivated communication and marketing leader with more than 20-years of experience, including more than 10-years in leadership positions. She brings a depth of experience in property marketing for new development to the Fund, and breadth of experience from law and justice, vocational education and community development sectors.

Beverlyn Malken

Company Secretary & General Manager Corporate Governance

Beverlyn was appointed General Manager – Corporate Governance in November 2020. She is a lawyer by profession with over 10 years of experience in litigation, commercial and corporate in-house advising. Beverlyn holds a Masters in Business Management from Divine Word University and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Papua New Guinea. Before joining NSL, She was with Credit Corporation Group of Companies where she served as the Company Secretary and  also held other positions such as Group Corporate Services Manager and Group HR & Administration Manager.

Annell Ovia

Annell Ovia

General Manager - People & Culture

Annell Ovia was appointed General Manager – People & Culture in September 2021. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Food Technology from UNITECH and a Degree in Business Management, Majoring in Human Resources from UPNG. She is a passionate and motivated leader with more than 23 years of experience in the fields of Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Human Resource Management. She brings a wealth of experience and valuable leadership to NSL’s People & Culture Team, and is a key driver of the organisation’s efforts to maintain its standing as an employer of choice.
