Assumptions

Projected super balance at retirement:

The projected total super balance takes into account your starting balance, employee and employer contributions, any additional voluntary contributions as well as interest earned between now and your retirement.

Retirement age:

We have assumed a default retirement age of 65. This can be adjusted in the calculator.

Working life:

The calculator assumes that you will have a continuous working life with no breaks up to your retirement age.

Interest rate:

The default investment returns have been set at 6.0%. This is based on the Nambawan Super 10-year average interest rate.

Employee contributions:

PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 6% is the mandatory minimum contribution for employees to make. Employees may choose to contribute more than the minimum.

Employer contributions:

PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 8.4% is the mandatory minimum contribution that employers have to make. Employers may choose to contribute more than the minimum.

OPH Limited is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated individual for the position of Facilities Engineer to join the OPH team.

This position reports to the General Manager. The successful candidate ensures all buildings and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively by managing maintenance programs, overseeing projects, controlling budgets, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the entire facility lifecycle. This role is essential for maintaining a safe environment and meeting performance and tenant satisfaction goals.

Key responsibilities
  •  Facilities Maintenance & Operations - Manage and implement facilities maintenance programs.
  • Project Management - Oversee facilities projects.
  • Budget & Cost Control - Develop, manage, and monitor maintenance budgets.
  • Safety & Compliance - Uphold safety and compliance standards.
  • Inspection & Monitoring - Conduct regular inspections and monitor building system performance.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination - Oversee contractors’ performance.
Skills & Experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. 
  • Certificate IV in Occupational, Health & Safety. 
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in building operations, facility management, or construction, and project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire systems).
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD and MS Project.
  • Analytical and problem-solving.  
  • A team player. 
  • Ability to uphold high ethical and moral standards.
