Assumptions
Projected super balance at retirement:
The projected total super balance takes into account your starting balance, employee and employer contributions, any additional voluntary contributions as well as interest earned between now and your retirement.
Retirement age:
We have assumed a default retirement age of 65. This can be adjusted in the calculator.
Working life:
The calculator assumes that you will have a continuous working life with no breaks up to your retirement age.
Interest rate:
The default investment returns have been set at 6.0%. This is based on the Nambawan Super 10-year average interest rate.
Employee contributions:
PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 6% is the mandatory minimum contribution for employees to make. Employees may choose to contribute more than the minimum.
Employer contributions:
PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 8.4% is the mandatory minimum contribution that employers have to make. Employers may choose to contribute more than the minimum.

Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Security Professional for the position of Manager Security.
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is based at NSL Head Office Port Moresby. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for safeguarding NSL personnel and assets by establishing and implementing robust and comprehensive security strategies, policies and procedures. This includes preventing security breaches, mitigating potential security risks and vulnerabilities and managing incidents effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Physical Security Management: Oversee and manage contracted security personal, security systems (trackers) and access control systems.
- Incident Management & Reporting: Lead investigations into security breaches, coordinate with police and security agencies & provide reports to management team.
- Security Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular security risk assessment, develop mitigation strategies and emergency response plans.
- Security Policies and Protocols: Develop, review and implement effective security strategies, policies & procedures and conduct awareness and trainings on security protocols and procedures.
- Managing Department budgets: Effective management of security operational budget and resources.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Management or related field coupled with Law Enforcement background, either (Police or Military).
- Relevant Professional Certification in Security Management (CPP or CSM).
- Have 5 or more work experience in similar roles.
- Training and experience in emergency response and crisis management.
- In-dept knowledge of security technologies such as access control.
- Proficiency in security assessment, audits and investigations.
- Excellent leadership and organization skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- And proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
