Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) on Friday, 6 October 2023, hosted a Regional Engagement and Awareness session in Lae, with approximately 100 Nambawan Super Employers and Members from across the Morobe Province.

During the session, NSL’s Senior Management presented to Members information and updates on the Fund’s Branch and service enhancements, Customer Experience initiatives, Employer Relations activities, the significance of Member Data collection, Member uptake of value-added services, and the utilization of Digital Services such as SMS, Mobile App, and other online platforms.

NSL’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Paul Sayer stated, “These sessions are part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to deliver more information and awareness about superannuation, the Fund’s performance, and activities, and improve the accessibility of NSL’s products and services for all our Members across the Country”.

“We believe that activities like these are an excellent opportunity for the NSL Board, Management, and Staff to connect with our Members and employers around the Country, to discuss initiatives and opportunities that will benefit them now and over the long-term”, Mr. Sayer added.

While in Lae, NSL’s Board and Management also had the opportunity to tour a number of the Fund’s investments within the area including residential and development properties as well as the Paradise Foods Limited factory which is 100% owned by the Members of Nambawan Super.

Mr. Sayer explained that, “The investment tours and meetings with key stakeholders in Lae are crucial to ensuring that the Fund is well-informed and positioned to make worthwhile investments within the Region that drive economic development while also generating strong returns for our Members”.

“These Regional Engagement and Awareness sessions and investment tours also reinforce the NSL Board and Management’s commitment to upholding the principles of good corporate governance and operating solely in the interest of Members by safeguarding and growing their savings”, Mr. Sayer added.

The engagement in Lae follows the Fund’s 2023 Employer Conference hosted in July in Port Moresby and is the second of several regional engagement activities delivered in 2023. The first regional engagement was conducted in Mt. Hagen in July and the Fund will also host Engagements and Awareness sessions in Kokopo and Wewak in October and November respectively.
