Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) today commenced its 2026 Super Seminar and Exhibition Day at the Hilton Port Moresby, marking the start of its two-day Employer Conference with strong Member turnout and engagement.

The event brings together Members, Employer Representatives, and partners for two days of education, insight, and direct engagement, reinforcing NSL’s commitment to improving financial literacy and retirement outcomes for Papua New Guineans.

Day one focused on practical, easy-to-understand sessions designed to help Members better understand how their superannuation works. Topics included tax on super, how investments drive long-term growth, and the key differences between savings & loans and superannuation, areas critical to helping Members make informed financial decisions.

A key highlight of the day was the Member Services session, where participants were guided step-by-step on how to correctly complete forms. This initiative directly addresses common processing delays and reflects NSL’s ongoing efforts to improve service efficiency and enhance the overall Member experience.

Rachael Abel, Kina Bank Payroll Officer shared, “The things I found interesting from the seminar presentations today was the presentation on Products and Services. The presentation was quite clear and I’m confident I can go back to work and share this information with my colleagues.

“The presentation on Tax on Super was helpful for me as well. The presenter was able to share with us on the breakup of how tax is applied when a Member exits, especially for RSA Members and the Zero Tax that was introduced by the government for members contributing for more than 15 years.”

“It was good to hear from the NSLS CEO as well and learn about the exciting products they have and how NSL Members can automatically become NSLS Members.”

Beyond the seminar sessions, Members visited an engaging exhibition featuring NSL’s investee companies, Member discount partners, and service providers. Participating organisations included Paradise Foods, South Pacific Brewery, Nambawan Savings and Loan Society, Solar Solutions, Atlas Steel, and Pacific International Hospital.

The exhibition provided a unique opportunity for Members to see how their superannuation is actively invested, while also exploring additional benefits and services available to them, bringing greater visibility to the broader value of being a Member of Nambawan Super.

Tapua Alu, Sponsorship and Events Manager from Paradise Foods Limited stated, “We are pleased to have been invited to be part of this important event. As an investee company of Nambawan Super, we recognise that Members are 100% shareholders in our business, and this creates a unique and meaningful connection.”

“Opportunities like this allow us to engage directly with Members, many of whom were excited to visit our booth and sample our products. It’s also a chance to educate Members on how their everyday choices matter.”

“When Members support investee companies like Paradise Foods and SP Brewery, they are not just purchasing our products, they are contributing to the growth of their own investments and ultimately giving back to their retirement savings.”

The Super Seminar and Exhibition Day forms part of NSL’s broader Employer Conference to be hosted on 17 April 2026, which serves as a key platform for stakeholders to receive updates on the Fund’s performance and strategic direction.
Day two will see NSL’s Chairman Mr. Richard Sinamoi and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Lachlan Baird present the Fund’s 2025 performance and outline strategic priorities for 2026 and beyond, reinforcing the Fund’s focus on long-term growth, strong governance, and improved Member outcomes.

As part of its continued nationwide engagement program, NSL will also host a similar session in Lae, Morobe Province, at the Lae International Hotel on Friday, 24 April 2026, extending the same opportunity for engagement to Members and Employer Representatives in the region.

NSL encourages Employers to take an active role in understanding the superannuation needs of their employees and to participate in the upcoming session in Lae by registering via events@nambawansuper.com.pg or visiting the website at www.nambwansuper.com.pg .
