Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) on Friday, 1 August 2025, hosted an awareness session with staff and students of the Namatanai Secondary School in New Ireland Province with close to 100 participants attending the awareness session.

This was an opportunity for the Members to ask questions they had about superannuation, directly to the CEO and receive immediate feedback and answers.

NSL CEO, Mr. Sayer remarked, “It is always a pleasure to meet with Members outside of our major town centres, as they don’t often have a chance to visit our Branches and learn about how to maximise their superannuation savings”.

“Our Members in these areas work hard every day to bring crucial services to their communities, and they do not ask for much in return. Nambawan Super cares about all our Members wherever they reside or work, and we are working hard to ensure that all our Members can access important information that will benefit them in retirement after a lifetime of nation-building”, Mr. Sayer added.

The awareness sessions were conducted a day after the main Regional Engagement and Awareness (E&A) that was hosted in Kavieng on Thursday, 31 July 2025, at the Kavieng Niu Lodge. Over 100 Members attended the event, including representatives from the Namatanai District.

The Regional E&A events intend to create a platform for NSL to engage directly with its Employer Representatives and Members, sharing vital information about the Fund’s performance, the progress of key initiatives, and the outlook for the current year. It also aims to provide an opportunity to hear directly from Members and Employer Representatives, their concerns and challenges, and answer any questions they may have, fostering deeper support and collaboration between the Fund and its Members throughout the Country.

The attendees were encouraged to remember that superannuation is a long-term investment and that from year to year, results may go up and down; however, as ‘long-term’ investors, it was important for them to take a long-term outlook.

This engagement in Kavieng marks the conclusion of a successful series of Regional activities in 2025, including the Employer Conference in Port Moresby, and previous engagements in Goroka, Lae, and Kokopo.

The first Regional E&A session was held in Goroka on Wednesday, 14 May 2025, at the Bird of Paradise Hotel. Over 100 NSL Members from Eastern Highlands, Chimbu, Jiwaka, Western Highlands, Enga, and Southern Highlands Provinces attended the event, representing over 79 Employer groups.

The second Regional E&A session was hosted in Lae on Wednesday, 28 May 2025, at the Lae International Hotel, with 100 Members in attendance representing 60 Employer groups.

The third Regional E&A session was hosted in Kokopo on Friday, 27 June 2025, at the Gazelle International Hotel. Over 100 Members attended the event, including participants who travelled in representing the Autonomous Bougainville Government, Parliamentary Services, West New Britain Provincial Health Authority, and Monle ESR Services, Lihir.

Nambawan Super Limited extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the Members, Employers, and organisations that have attended and supported the delivery of these sessions in 2025, and look forward to hosting more engagements in 2026.
