Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) recently contributed to the professional development of women leaders in Papua New Guinea through its participation in the Papua New Guinea Business Coalition for Women (BCfW) Senior Executive Women's Program.
NSL General Manager People & Culture, Miss. Fatima Morgan, delivered a presentation to participants of the program on Organisational Culture and Leadership Styles, sharing insights drawn from her extensive experience in people leadership and organisational development.
The session explored the critical role leadership plays in shaping workplace culture, driving employee engagement, understanding the value of different leadership perspectives and fostering environments where individuals and teams can perform to their full potential.
Fatima encouraged participants as leaders within their organisation to reflect on different leadership approaches and how these can be applied to build resilient, high-performing and inclusive organisations.
“Sustainable culture change begins with leaders who consistently model the values, behaviour and standards they expect across the organization. Culture is shaped by everyday leadership practices, including how meetings are conducted, how decisions are made, and what behaviours are recognised and reinforced,” Fatima shared during her presentation.
As a corporate member of the Papua New Guinea Business Coalition for Women, NSL remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, promote workplace inclusion and empower the next generation of leaders.
NSL Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Lachlan Baird, said NSL is pleased to have been given the opportunity to support initiatives that invest in people, encourage diversity in leadership and help build stronger workplaces for the future. Through Fatima's participation, we were pleased to share practical insights and contribute to the ongoing development of women leaders who are making a positive impact across Papua New Guinea.
"At Nambawan Super, we recognise that strong leadership and a positive organisational culture are fundamental to building successful and sustainable organisations. Leaders have a responsibility not only to deliver results, but also to actively model the desired workplace culture which will create an environment where people feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed," he said.
"Programs such as the BCfW Senior Executive Women's Program provide an important platform for experienced professionals to strengthen their leadership capabilities, share experiences and build networks that contribute to both personal and organisational growth."
