Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) recently supported Members from the Magisterial Services by delivering on-site Member Services at the 2026 Magisterial Service Biennial Judicial Conference in Port Moresby.

Over 70 Magistrates serving across Papua New Guinea, convened at the APEC Haus for the conference, held under the theme “Delivering Justice with Integrity”. The conference was aimed at promoting the delivery of justice so that public trust and confidence in the Magistracy is maintained.

Recognising the value of providing essential services while Magistrates were together in one location, the Magisterial Services invited NSL to establish a dedicated Member Services desk throughout the conference.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Josephine Kilage acknowledged NSL for its participation, saying the partnership made it easier for Magistrates to access important superannuation services.

"Between each conference, many things change. Laws change, some Magistrates retire and there are important updates that our Magistrates need to be aware of. Bringing in partners like Nambawan Super allows our Magistrates to conveniently access important services while attending the conference," Ms Kilage said.

NSL Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Lachlan Baird thanked the Magisterial Services team for recognising NSL as a key stakeholder and providing the opportunity to engage directly with Members.

"Our Magistrates carry significant responsibilities every day. With demanding court schedules, heavy caseloads and administrative commitments, finding time to visit our Branches during normal business hours can be difficult. Bringing our services directly to them makes it easier for Members to keep their accounts up to date and protect their retirement savings," Mr Baird said.

Throughout the conference, the NSL Member Services team assisted Members with verifying and updating their personal information, completing account maintenance requests and registering for the Fund's digital services.

The presence of both NSL and the Magisterial Services Human Resources team at the venue also enabled Members to complete and endorse required documentation in one location, making the process faster and more convenient.

"Keeping your personal information up to date is one of the most important steps in protecting your superannuation savings. Accurate records also ensure Members can securely access our digital services and receive the benefits and services they are entitled to," Mr. Baird said.

He said the engagement reflected NSL's ongoing commitment to making its services more accessible by meeting Members where they work.

"As Papua New Guinea's largest, longest-serving and most trusted superannuation fund, we remain committed to safeguarding our Members superannuation savings and helping them achieve their best retirement outcomes," Mr. Baird said.

Mr. Baird also encouraged Employers to invite the NSL Member Services team to their employee events and utilise NSL's flagship Free Financial Literacy Training program, which equips Members with practical knowledge to better manage their finances, make informed financial decisions and prepare for retirement.

The FLT program is designed to reflect the everyday financial choices our Members face, from managing household expenses to planning for major life milestones. More importantly, it recognises that financial independence is driven not only by how much you earn, but also by how you manage what you earn.”

Employers interested in hosting Member Services or Financial Literacy Training sessions are encouraged to contact Nambawan Super or visit the Fund's website for more information.
